Ok I give up. My vida laptop just died and I can't find the purge valve. Thanks in advance.

on our old S40 the purge valve is up front near the radiator on the left hand (drivers) side. you should see a vacuum line from the block into in and a hose that goes to the back of the car. It also has an electrical connector that actuates the valve. One hack is to shop for a replacement part on a dealer web store. They usually have diagrams to show you where it is located.
