When it is cold (below 20 degrees F), my car takes about 5 miles before the engine temp is up to normal. I'm wondering if the thermostat might be stuck open. I've changed thermostats in cars before but not on this one. I think I can see where it might be but it is not obvious how to get to it. I've looked for DIYs on the internet but haven't found anything. My car is the 2 liter 4 cylinder turbo.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any assistance on changing the thermostat?
