Hello all, I'm a new owner of a used 2020 S60. It came with only one key fob. I was wondering if you all know if there is a place to purchase a key fob other than the dealer that charges over $400?
Also an unrelated topic, do all Volvo s60s come with remote start and if so how do you start it? I don't see a button on the key. Thanks for any help you can give.

Dealer is the only choice for a key

Remote start is only on the Volvo on call app for your smartphone - Has other features, remote lock/unlock, location, flash lights, sound horn from your phone

 

Thank you, one more dumb question regarding the on call. Do you need a subscription to be able to use the app on the car to use the remote start?

 

My 2020 came with first 3 years free, I think. It's covered for at least the term of my lease so -

 

Might as well get accustomed to it. My guess is that the cost of the key is < $15

 

Add the cost of the remote, Then they have to cut the emergency key inside and program the car to accept the new key/remote, maybe an hour in time and Volvo Corp. wants ~$25 for the key initialization download. To do that the dealer may pay ~$7000 a year (we mere mortals have to also) for a VIDA subscription a year.
