Just purchased a '06 S60 with the geartronic shifter. What is the process to switch out the leather shift **** to the wood shift ****?

If it is the same as the older ones then turn the boot at the shifter **** to release. Then drop the boot down.
Then grab and Yank the **** off.

 

Thanks, Tech for the info...So there is no set screw to hold it in place? Just twist the boot were it connects to the shifter and pull up. Is there a catch were the boot untwist and twist back for the install. Thanks again!

 

Once you get the **** off you will see. There is tabs that the Square ring locks onto. When you install the new one the Square ring in the boot you can just pull it up and it should lock on. It might be a little tough but it will go.
