Default Badge position???

Looking at an 04 S60 for sale. Guy says its never had any accidents, etc...

However, I noticed that the S60 badge is on the driver's side of the trunk. Never seen this before, started noticing every S60 as having their S60 badge on the passanger's side of the trunk?

Something up, or is that the way it is. It's an S60 straight up, not an R, not a turbo, not AWD.

I would pay the $$$ for a carfax. Mine and all other S60 badges I have seen are on the passengers side. I would also check the sheet metal on the inside of the trunk for evidence of repair. S60's have a very easy to access panel on either side of the trunk to get to the tail lights. If there was a rear end accident it would most likely be some evidence in the corners. Good luck!

i have a 2004 S60 Turbo and the s60 is on the drivers side, and the 2.5T is on the passenger, so my guess is that it is only bad-asses that have it this way, proof being me. lol

but yeah, carfax that car, cant be too carefull, my brother bought a "new"er car and noticed he was going through tires like a ****. so he took it in and found that the car was in a front end collision and even though they fixed it, something just wasnt right in the allignment that cause the tires up front to vibrate hence the wearing out quick. (this was over 8 years ago before carfax)

so , ya know, check it out

Starting in 04the badgewent to the drivers side. It's an easy way to date a pre 04 S60. Then in 05 they changed to the diamond style tail lights. So of all the years the 04 can be dated by these two features. The others are one side or the other.
