Default Bigger Turbo

I have an 02 2.4t s60. Recently I upgraded turbos to the T5 turbo. Nothing else has been touched or modified. Is there any possibility that I could be making more power? If not what could I do to make more power. Would an ECU swap be a wise choice?

1. What size was the stock turbo?

2. What size is the new upgraded turbo?

For starters you should do a 3" downpipe mandrel bent of course added to a full 3" catback system with free flowing CAT and muffler, mandrel bent also. Like a Magnaflow CAT and muffler.

Another thing you need to do and should do is not an ECU swap. However an ECU upgrade. Send your ECU out to a tuner and have them program it so that it takes into effect the bigger turbo and 3" downpipe and 3" catback system. I would do a dyno to send to them with A/F ratios and the like so they can tune the ECU better.

-IPD USA (Great ECU upgrade, one of the most expsensive one, but is one of the best.) ( http://www.ipdusa.com )

-EST

-SpeedTuning USA (Great ECU upgrade, for the lowest price of $325.00) (Volvospeed might still be doing a groupbuy with them on and off)

-RICA ( http://www.vptuning.com ) (That is the U.S. dealer for RICA. They are the most exspensive or close to it, but are the best.)

-Upsolute (This ECU runs about $400 and is still a good ECU)

Look into those companies for ECU upgrades.

If you haven't switched to synthetic oil I would do so ASAP, it is worth it. Also upgrade your vaccum hoses to silicone ones. Also is SAMCO has a kit for you I would order it and install it. The sell coolant and turbo hoses in silicone. Think about adding a BOV to your system to vent excess boost pressure. HKS SSQV is one of the best, I am running Turbo XS Type H-RFL which is great. Also big thing you should get first is a BOOST GAUGE. Autometer makes great ones. You got to know how much boost your car is making. It is a great tool to have installed in your car.

just a catback system? I would say about 10Hp and 10 FT-LB's of torque, possibly another 10Hp and 10 FT-LB's possible. The downpipe is where it is really at, you will see the most increase with a 3" downpipe and a 2.5"-3" catback will only add to that.

I don't know for sure. But I would estimate you would gain a good 20-30 Hp and 20-30 ft-lb's of torque possibly.

Don't waste the money on Evolve, go with a company that has been around awhile.

I think they do come as close if not the same. Go with RICA, if your willing to shell out $800. Go with RICA they are great.
