Newbie here. I just got a S60 a couple of days ago, and had checked the odometer at the time of delivery, and it was showing 19kms or so.
While driving home, I happened to see that the trip meter showed 86 hours 48 minutes.
So, is it possible for a dealer to reset the odo?
Any other possible explanation? The dealer is saying that they leave the ignition on for battery charging form external sources] etc. I think that is bull****. My possible explanation is that in India, they leave the cars for display in their showrooms with the cars connected to AC power, and the DRLs on. For that the ignition needs to be on I guess? That might explain the 86 hours on the trip meter?
