Can I Install a Homelink visor if the car didn't come with it?
I have a 04 S60 and it doesn't have a homelink visor. I found one from a 2003 S80.
First question is will the 03 S80 visor work in my 04 S60 and the other is
can I use a homelink visor if my car did not come with it.
Thanks,
Jeff

If the visior does bolt in and fit you might have to get a software download to activate the homelink setup in the car.
I have no idea if the visors are the same in the 2003 S80 & 2004 S60. I think they may be different so you'll want to double check as best you can.
On question 2:
HomeLink visors just need power. The visor doesn't talk to the computer. If your visor has a lighted mirror (I think they all do?) then swapping it should be no problem.
Sun visor, replacing
Remove:
-the cover panel
-the two screws.
There is a catch at the mounting:
Press the catch inwards and twist the sun visor outwards in the car.
Disconnect and disassemble the connector.
Hint: Do not forget to secure the wiring and connector before installation.
Install:
In reverse order.

Yup...........the homelink is nothing more than a three button garage door opener. You set the home link exactly as you would set a Genie remote.
