Can my customers put a 2.0 VW engine on a 2.5 Volvo s60?

My customers volvo s60 engine broke last week. and my customers have a spare vw jetta with a good 2.0 engine. can my customers put that engine in the s60?

Why, in all things that are Schveeeedish, would they purposely want what is referred to as a "Two point Slow" Vdub motor in their car?
