Changing Fog light Assembly on 04 S60
Both the lenses on my fog lights are already pitted and in bad shape. I want to replace the whole assembly but I'm not sure what is the quickest way.
1) Drop the whole bumber
Should I remove the whole bumber to expose them both ? I was trying to avoid this as I think there is a rivet that needs to be removed to bring the bumber down after removing the torx screw and front bolts under the trim.
2) Keep bumber in place
If I'm under the car it seems I can reach 2 of 3 screws that keeps it in place (easiest with bendable/flexy driver) . I cannot reach the third one as the air drum/duct is in the way. I was thinking of removing this to gain access to the 3rd screw. Looks like I could easily remove it ,the bolts holding it in place is easily reachable.
Thanks.

I found that removing the bumper was actually quick and painless. Inside the inner fender there was just the torx screw (no additional rivets) for mine at least. I hesitated as well for the same reason, but I think the rivets hold the inner fender liner in place and don't interfere with the bumper at all.
If you decide to pull the bumper, plan ahead and put something out to keep the paint from scratching. I put my bumper on the lawn. Setting in on bare cement is a bad idea because it will tip and you will have scratches.

I had time today so I brought down the whole bumper.
Just waiting on the fogs I ordered. Also putting on the front lip spoiler
that was delivered today.
Followed all the steps and it came right off .
She's probably gonna be without a grill for few days which got me thinking about the headlight wipers.
Should I remove them or should they stay

I think it looks better without the wipers too IMO. My eyes are always drawn directly to the wipers and I think it breaks up what would otherwise be a sleek front end.
I had a Mercedes 300E, and they sold kits that would replace that section with a nice color matching panel.

Fogs came today and installed them right away. Front lip spoiler is also installed.
Bumper is now back on. The new front looks really good with the frontlip spoiler.
My wife wanted the wipers to stay on. And in light of mother's day, I obliged. Will think about it again on the next mod that requires the bumper to go down

I just decided to upgrade my fog light wattage on 2007 s60 2.5t., I figured it would take about 5 minutes. Wow the new bulbs prong was a bit thinner than oem stock part, so after fighting with it for about an hour, I grabbed needle nose and crimped the receiving connector in the socket. This way the bulb would stay in place while I tried to re-seat the assembly. It was still difficult - so I finally pushed in the two plastic clip that hold the reflector assembly in the bumper and the part came out easy. This allowed me easier access to hold, align, and re-seat the bulb assembly into the reflector housing. Re seating the entire assembly was cake.!...lesson learned , next time should be 5 minutes. Shouldn't need to drop the bumper
