clening a mass air flow sensor the right way
this is how u clean a mass air flow the right way i did this on my 2001 s60 2.4t. I'm not going to go in to how to take it all apart and out the car but moor of what to clean on the sensor and what not to do. to start with this is the mass air flow unit

now the part u want to clean is on the inside and looks like this

the red arrows show what u are going to clean
u want to use a good mass air flow cleaner this is what i use and do not use any thing to scrub or wipe any part of the sensor u do not want to touch any of the plates or wires with any thing or u will be buying a new MFA sensor.

now that u have cleaned it let it air dry no compressed air or heat or wiping u will brake it. when dry put it all back in and the car will run a lot beater and good luck
