Default climate control

Hi all
just joined this forum as I have just bought my first volvo. Previous cars were saab 95 and then a saab 93 vector but had soooooo many problems that after going back to dealer 6 times (the last time for 2 weeks) it still had issues. So i cut my losses and moved over to volvo and wow i love this car and it's also my first diesel.
I have noticed one thing not right though and it is.... it has dual climate control and when i ask for cold air on both sides ( ie air con) the passenger side gets really cold but the drivers side only blows at outside ambient air temp. Has anyone any idea what this could be?
oh and it's a right hand drive if that makes any difference.
many thanks in advance ranny

If the climate control has a problem it will set a fault code. Have the codes read and it will, in all probability, take you to the source.

Right hand drive withdiesel - where are you from? The reason I ask is that in the US codes can be read free at certain places. I'm not sure about the UK or other places with right hand drive.

ok i will try to get any fault codes looked at. Thanks.
And I am in the uk so having fault codes read free of charge is very very unlikely this is rip off britain after all and not only that i expect there will be a stealth tax to pay also..
Man I hate this country!![:@]
But thanks for the help anyway.

Steer clear of Volvo dealers. Most tune-up places can read codes as they are standard. You may be lucky. My local garage reads them free of charge hoping to get to do the work. If you don't give him the job he's not too bothered.
