Confusing Possible Transmission Swap?
I have a 2013 Volvo S60 t5 fwd and it has an automatic transmission. I have been reading up on people doing transmission swaps and I have always really wanted a manual transmission car and I’m not really in a position to buy a new car. I was looking into it and I’ve seen people do this when, first of all, the drivetrains match up and, secondly, the s60 they do the swap on is much older than the one I old. (It seems to always be a 2004 model or close to it.) After lots of research I’ve found the m66 Volvo manual transmission kits on eBay but they are awd and my car is fwd so I have no idea if there is some way to make that work. Not only is there the drivetrain issue, I don’t know if the fact that my car is newer than the usual swap projects I see would also be an issue. Any information would be greatly appreciated I just want to know if this can really be done.
