Default Considering 2003 R Type - advice

I've been driving a Saab 9-5, have an opporunity to get into a 2003 R with 23K miles for $21k; don't know much about the S60R - what has the community's experience with this car been?

thanks

For this info you may want to go over to SwedeSpeed. They are more oriented in the s60R models. I know some people here will respond, but for a better look into the issues go over there.

Steer away from the 03 as it is one of the first generations, I also bought my 04 R for $19000 so do some shopping. Stick with MT if you decide to go Model years 2003-2005 as during those years the GT has a torque limiter. As far as 2006 and 2007 you are good to go with either the GT or MT, like S70driver said visit swedespede.com for more details....I'm also a member over at SS.
