Coverting 02 S60 to an S60R
Hi everyone, I'm brand new to this site and this is my first post. I've searched the S60 threads as well as the Exterior threads and can't find the answer I'm looking for so hopefully someone can help me out. I'm looking to purchase a used S60 this weekend. I really love the exterior styling of the S60R and was wondering what would be needed to convert a stock S60 to look like an S60R. The obvious things are the wheels and body kit. Where can they be bought? I checked Ebay and don't see much. Also, what else is needed? Can I put the R wheels on without changing the suspension or will it not fit and have a big gap? Also, do I need the Brembo brakes and rotors? What else am I missing? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Not sure if anyone makes the body parts yet.
Wheels will go right on. If you want the bigger brakes expect to pay atleast 1K on them alone(Mainly just for the calipers and rotors) also thats just for the front.
I know a new R bumper is close to $1500 alone. Then there is the rear and the side skirts. Then if you wanted the Euro kit there is also the other parts for the front bumper.
So the answer is really how much do you want to spend?

So the wheels will go on without a problem? 16" to 18" and no issue? Will the car need to be lowered or will it look good with the stock suspension?
I'm willing to spend about $2500.
How about the Speedzone body kit? Does anyone on this site have that kit on their car? The one they show on their site is ugly.

Someone on here did the rim swap already I forget if it needed to be lowered.
The overall diameter of the tire area shouldn't change much you are going from a taller sidewall smaller rim to a bigger rim smaller sidewall diameter. With the right tire size you will be pretty much exactly the same as what you have on there but just a bigger better looking rim.

+1 on what Tech said.
With all the money you would spend trying to make an R, you would be better off shopping around and just buy an R. Ifits not too late, but theres always some for sale here...

The R is a sweet car IMO, but why fake it? How you gonna fake the AWD?
If you don't get a R, I think the best thing you can do is EVOLVO that s60..!
