Cruise Control Problem
My new-to-me '01 S60 T5 Cruise Control always works perfectly when the car is cold, but if engaged or not, after 2-5 minutes it will shut off (and the "Cruise" light in the cluster will extinguish).
The steering wheel switch will not re-arm the cruise function again until the car has sat a while, after which it will only stay active for another couple of minutes before quiting again.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, and what is the usual cause?
Thanks,
Bob

Not very familiar with this issue, but there are two reasons for this. The first would be the throttle body is starting to go and turning off the cruise control or the ABS is overheating and kicking it off. My money is on the ETM (throttle body).
Thanks-
Bob
I do not believe it is either of those Bob, if your not setting any lights, but I had one today that came in, same concern mostly, and the button was getting stuck on the airbag module, over time it interferes with it and will get stuck and set a code for it. See if this is happening and maybe get a sharp blade and trim around the airbag/horn a little, it will look mostly the same if done right. Like I said though, codes are set, so a scan may be in order.
ABS will turn it off too, but usually has lights that will come on.
