Crush Washer/Oil Change?

I will be changing the oil in my S60 for the first time this week and I was wondering if I needed a new crush washer. I have already ordered the filter and filter wrench from IPD but I wasn't aware that I needed a new washer.
I thought you would simply un-screw the drain bolt (drain) then turn back on with the right amount of torque.
Any suggestions?
Thank You!

Over the years I have reused the ring without problems until my last oil change left me with a slow oil drip. I replaced the ring and leak is gone. I will not change oil again without a new ring. My local dealer tapes a new ring to the box at no additional charge.

Thanks! I bought the oil filter and filter wrench from IPD. In the future I will probably get the oil filters from Volvo since it cost about the same after you pay for shipping with IPD. The dealer wanted $55 for the wrench and $12 for the filter. I decided I would take my chances with the IPD wrench before I spent $55 on a Volvo wrench.

Good choice on the wrench. I purchased mine from an ebay seller. Volvo truly is no more expensive for necessary parts than other outlets. I purchase all of my auto's oil filters from the various dealers and there truly is a difference. The (on the Volvo) cabin and air filters I obtain from NAPA as I feel that they are superior. The antifreeze and trans fluid changes I have done by Volvo as the amount ofdiscarded fluid is a bother to collect and dispose of. The oil changes and annual brake fluid changes I handle my self and the local Shell dealer recycles the used.
