Default Front End knocking

Hi Guys
I have a 55 plate S60 2.4 D5 and over the last few weeks there is a knocking from the off side front as i go over bumps.
Its been in and out of the garage and nothing can be found
It sounds as if something is loose and getting worst
Is there anywhere i can get or has anyone here got a drawing of the front left had suspention and everything in that area

Regards

Steve

PS
Its not a hard knock its more of a hollow sound.
And the struts have been changed

My guess is the End links. Common problem When u did the Struts did you replace the spring seats ?? If yes control arm bushings and end links are really the only things that would make any noise>
Here is a Pic of the front end on 01-08 s60

I had a knocking when I had my struts replaced at a local shop. They stopped the knocking, but either the parts were bad or they didn't know what they were doing. Went to a Volvo specialist to redo it - the upper mounts still made a groaning noise. Finally went to Volvo and they redid it right. Cost me a lot I tried to go discount. The Volvo dealer seems to be the only ones that can get it right in my opinion.

P.S. They also fixed a squeeking spring in the steering column and didn't even mention it!

I had the same issue on my 03 s60 2.4....I thought it was the sway bar endlinks, so I replaced them....NOPE
I thought it was the spring seat....NOPE

Ended being the two little mounts on the strut bar, left and right(bar on top of the engine where the top torque mount is attached)

It was annoying every time I shifted to reverse, or accelerated from a light....clunk...pretty embarrassing if you ask me

Hey guys. I am having a similar knocking sound in the passenger front end that typically occurs when I brake and the weight of the vehicle shifts forward or when I go over bumps. It doesn't knock when I brake lightly and the sound is usually just a one time pop or knock. I installed HD end links from IPD less then a year ago. I check them the other day and there seems to be no play. I think the end links typically sound like more of a rattle anyway. I also replaced the spring seats at the same time. Does this sound like it could be the control arm bushing, engine mounts, or something else? I think the knock when braking adds a different twist to the situation.
