I punched it getting on to the freeway the other day and noticed a rattle comming from I think under the car. It went away as soon as I eased off the gas. It`s not the turbo since I dont have one.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I was thinking it could be the heat shield around the exhaust. Anyone with any other ideas, or have the same problem??

I would say either heat sheild or a bad cat converter.

 

I tried a higher octane fuel and the noise seems to be going away the more it gets through the system. It`s possible it could have been engine knock since the car was on 87 before.
I`ll keep you posted.
