I have a 2002 s60. The pwer seats only work for about 30 second after the ignition is turned on. Volvo changes the seat switch and that wasn't the problem. They said it needed another control module. I got a used one out of a junk yard. It acted exactly the same way. I head you had to have the module reprogrammed. I called volvo and they said you could not put a module from another car on it - He said it would have the vin of the old car and the computer would not reprogram. I have two questions. 1). Does anyone know how to fix the problem and second, What about not being able to put used parts from another car. Has anyone ever heard of that? Thanks

 

You cannot swap modules from one car to the other.
