Hard to start when cold
I have a 2008 s60 that just started to start hard when its cold out. No codes and plenty of fuel press. at the rail. Could it be the temp sensor and if so where is it located. I see the one on the thermostat housing but don't see the other one. Any help would be greatly helpful. Thanks
Temp sensor is a likely culprit. They can start to go bad and although reporting an incorrect temp to the computer the computer has no idea it's wrong. As long as it somewhere between -30 and 240/250... something the computer thinks it's good, no CEL.
If it's going bad and telling the computer 70 when it's really 40 it's going to be to lean to start properly.

Well, I went out to the garage this afternoon after it sat all night and checked to see if there was any fuel press. at the fuel rail. There was none. Got in turned the key to position 2, heard the fuel pump pressurize the system up and started right up. Did not smell any gas when I started it. Still no codes or anything. So now i'm thinking That either the fuel reg. or one or more injectors are leaking.
Would that be safe to assume? If the injectors are leaking is there any way to tell which one it might be? Could I pressurize outside the car? Don't want to buy a whole set.
An thanks for replying I really appreciate it.
