Default Headlight Socket Melted!

The passengers side headlight (dipped beam...what crazy Swedish engineer came up with that term) electrical connector on my 01' S60 must have shorted and has melted/burnt to the back of the bulb. Anyone else ever have that problem? It figures it is the passengers side since there is almost no space on that side to get any tools in there to crimp on a new connector or even some spade terminals so I guess I will need to pull the headlight out. Anyone ever try this? Got any advice or link to a page from a service manual with some directions?

Did you try with removing the washer bottle tube?
