i have two things
well first is that when i drive i hear a knocking/ticking from my cars front end. its an 2003 awd s60. the noise sounds like CV joints but i think there fine. the noises go and come as they please. kinda annoying so please i need some help.
second my dash cluster is going crazy. it acts weird when it feels like it. the gauges go to 0 all of them. its like it resets its self every 10 seconds. the seatbelt lights on the rear veiw mirror turn on. its been acting up like this for about a month. it started doing this after i got the system updated at Volvo. I'm ready to take it back. wut do u think ?

U might have a case of network cut out... for the instruement cluster issue.. should be check out... did they provide a copy of the trouble codes stored in the system? If it is CUSTOMER PAID work and not warranty.. U have the right to get a copy of the trouble codes stored.. and then u can go from there and what u should do...

hey mncx
i talked to the dealership and they think my cluster is bad
thats off hand without looking at it but to replace the cluster it would cost me 1300 dollars and i am not paying that at all.
is there any way if thats what the problem is. to replace the cluster without dealing with the dealership.
i seen a cluster on ebay for 75 bucks.
what do you think ?

The clusters can be swapped out without getting any reprogramming done and is about a 5 minute driveway job. Only problem is the mileage is stored in the cluster. New cluster will show the mileage of the car it was removed from. At least you can prove or disprove the dealers of the cuff diagnosis without spending $1300.00.
Make sure you disconnect the battery and roll down the drivers window first.
