HORRIBLE low profile tires on recently purchased 2015 V60, 2.0 -FWD HELP!
Well the title says it all...
just purchased the car and i hate these tires. They are low profile, rough and hard. Even seem to notice weird rotation thump at highway speed.
Can i put a normal sized sidewall tire on this car???
appreciate any input.

Sure you have two choices 1) you can replace your wheels with a shorter size ie go from 19 to 17 inch rims 2) you can replace your tires with a narrower tread and higher aspect ratio. Weird rotational thumps suggest you may have damage on one of the tires which should be investigated to avoid the risk of a blowout.
Check out wheel-size.com to see compatible wheel/tire combinations for your model. Tirerack.com is also a good resource when considering a "minus1" conversion or comparing a swap from say a 235/45-17 to a 215/50-17. On my cars where I have winter rims, I generally run one inch shorter for the snows but just pick a compatible tire size with the same rolling circumference. Say you have 235/45-17s as your summer tire - you could run a 215-55-16 winter tire and not impact the speedo..
