Unless you can get a Ford Employee discount, then the price is a good one.

Not great but good. I know my father in law was quoted 24,200 I think for an 07 in June of this year. He is a Ford Retiree.

I assume it has leather, sunroof and the lot right?

Thanks.
The premium package includes leather seats andsunroof. I am notford employee, but the price is xPlan price for ford partner. I am also looking for 2007 model, but the dealer said they don't have brand new any more, they have a few with very low miles ( 2000-3000 miles), i am not sure if it is worth to take.

It would be foolish to purchase a new 2008 model. Wait8 months when the all new Volvo comes out. If you were to spend $30K on a 2008 model, you are esstentially purchasing the same Ford P2 platform that the s60 was original based on since the model's birth in 2000. The platform had its actual beginnings in the 1999 s80.

The second generation S60 is scheduled to arrive to show rooms some time during 2009. This new sedan will show off Volvo's completely new design language already seen in the Volvo XC60 concept. This new sedan will ride on the same platform as the XC60. Volvo has confirmed that the new S60 will become the true new rival for the C class, and the 3 series (I doubt it), as Volvo is undergoing new product alignment. The S60 will shrink in size a little bit to fit this role more precisely and avoid any confusion with the S80 as the S40 will not be reproduced. New features would include the new large Volvo iron symbol, parallel to the grille day running lamps, and larger spaced letters in the brand name on rear.

The reason that it seems like a good deal is because the dealership knows the model's end iscoming soon, so they are moving inventory to make room. Like all car manufacturers, they know that if the platform model year isin its homestretch, they will discount themandbuild &equipthemwith special packages (i.e. premuim, winter, sport, FX4, TRD) to sell of the reminder last ones of the platform. Don't buy it Micror!!!Save your money for a down payment on the 2009!!!!

Good suggestion! Should I consider to lease a S60? Since I will return my rental car by end of this month.

Sorry luke8_8 but I completly disagree. The current S60 is a far better choice. The P2 platfrom ismore Volvo than Ford.

This is my support forapersonal opinion.
1) The current platform is well knowand any good Volvo tech, dealership or otherwise will havegood understanding of the car. I know an 01 S60 isn'tan07 but the basics are the same.
2) If the new S60 is like the new S80, I have some serious concerns about long term durability. Agian this is a personal opinion.
3) Are these low milage cars "demos"?As with any"used" car can you have it inspected off the lot?In my experiance; a low mileage used car is a new car without the extra price.
4) Yes the dealership is always trying to sellcars, andluke8_8 is right now they arereally trying to move them. Use this to your advantage.
