Default How to get a small dent out??

A baseball from a little league game hit the side of my car. It left a small dent. It looks like it can pop out.

I tried a plunger with cold water...didn't work.

Will boiling water make a difference? Or just mess up the paint?

Any other ideas? I don't want to spend a fortune on this repair.

Thanks!

I don't think hot water will be warm enough, also you won't be able to direct the heat all around the dent as you could with a torch. Can you get access to the dent from the other side? Then you can push the dent out with a suitable hammer/counterhold, or God forbid,-drill a small hole in the center of the dent, screw in a plate screw in the hole, pinch the screw's head in a vise grip and pull the dent out.
Most of the methods that car body shops use usually mess up the paint.

if you can get at the back side of the dent, work your way from the edges of the dent back towards the center with a wood block or similar to try and massage the dent out
