Unhappy Ignition key

Is there any way to get an ignition key from anyone under 200 dollars.

Sure, but it won't start the car.

Check a few dealers around the country. Mine is twice the price of the dealer I use in Charlotte.

I have also used keys from eBay on cars like Lexus and Mercedes. Some of them even cut the key from pictures. If their rating is high, they will likely do it right. The chip in the Lexus key and Mercedes key was in the part of the key that was removed and placed on the new key shank. Not sure how your key is made.

And after you buy a cut key from eBay, it won't start the car. They are programmed to the car, no way around it. About $40 for the software download and an hour labor charge.

I purchased a pair of OEM Volvo key blanks on ebay for $35 (dealer wanted $80 each). I had them cut by a local locksmith (my nearest dealer is 2 hours away) for around $15, then later had them programmed by the dealer, $25 for the software and $50 for labor.

$125 total
