installing tow hitch for bike rack on 2016 v60 (not x country)
Any tips for this? Looking on the volvo website the hitch I can see there is only for the cross country c60.
Any reason to not just go with a 3rd party one. I just to hold a few bikes on occasion. Just something like this: https://www.suspensionconnection.com...CABEgJTwfD_BwE sounds like installation is fairly straightforward. |
Check out etrailer.com - They have a hitch and wiring kit recommended for the V60 which will run you $200 for everything They also have a lot of youtube vids and Q+A questions sorted by make/model. Bad news is they rate the V60 a 10/10 for difficulty with an estimated install time of 1 hour and 40 min. My Highlander was rated a 4/10 for difficulty with a 40 minute install time - turned out there are four bolts pre-drilled in the Toyota's frame so on my car it was really easy. Note will will help to have a friend to hold up the hitch while you line up the bolts. I used jack stands to do the trick.

This is on my list of things to do for my new-to-me 2018 V60 Dynamic AWD. I plan to get the trailer hitch from etrailer, probably sans wiring kit for now since it would only be used for a bike rack. Here's what I've read on the subject:
