Default Intermittent "Binding Up" during sharp turns

This problem has been occuring for approx 1 year. At first, it was once every few weeks at most. Now, it happens almost once every couple of drives.

Example - Reversing out ofa driveway. Going straight back things are normal, but then I cut the wheel hard left (or right, doesn't matter) and "something happens." Suddenly I feel a lot of resistance to movement. The futher I go with the wheel cut, the more resistance. After just a few feet, I can be pressing hard on the gas, and not even move. If I straighten the wheel out at this point, things go back to normal.

Thebest I can describe the sensation is like there is something wrapped around the axle - the further I go, the tighter it seems to get. There are no noises when this occurs, no warnings, nothing. Dealer and oil change shop (volvo focused) have not been able to find the problem. Tire shop has not reported any abnormal wear.

It has happened going forwards and backwards, right and left, early and late in a drive. Always at low speed.

Any ideas that I can take back with me to the shops? I really need to get this fixed, I was stuck in a driveway today not being able to back out on a turn.

Don't know, but I would have the tech or service guy ride with you next time you go so you can show them exactly what the issue is.
