Just bought 2007 S60. Tire & key insurance (posted 4-month ago)
Hi all,
Just made the big switch to a Volvo sedan after nearly 20 years driving Volvo wagons.
Traded in my 2002 XC70 at 99,680 miles, the longest I've owned any car. Bought a 2007 S60AWD with 6,057 miles on it (corporate lease - the exec who got it must have been downsized). Anyhow, I did pretty well resisting that long list of great products they want to add to your purchase, but I did buy 2 things that seemed worthwhile: 5 years of Wheel/tire replacement - to a maximum of $5,000 - for $759. AND 5 years of Key replacement insurance for $375 - what they tell me is nearly the replacement cost for one key. Anyone have experience with either of these products? I'd be interested to hear your experience/opinions.

On this car search, I test drove a VW Passat (very nice); Mercury Milan; a couple of Hyundais; couple of Kias; several Subarus (nice cars), but couldn't get away from Volvo. Don't know if it's rational or emotional, but there it is.
The 2007 S60 I bought looks and feels so comfortable and familiar to me. Reminds me a lot of the 2002 XC70 that I'm giving up.
