You might have an issue with a faulty door lock.I think the horn might be able to be programmed to beep with the arming or disarming. But the dealer will have to program it.

Tech on a C-70 you can not program the horn to sound when you lock the doors. Only the lights flash. I could never find any thing in the owners manual re: horn honking and so I asked the dealer if a program could be loaded/activated and was told "no".

What year is it? There is alot of stuff that can be programmed that they won't tell you about.

2001 c-70.................now you wouldn't think the dealer is leading me on now???? Yeah, right. Tech, I have found that when I speak to the mechanic, in my case, "John", I learn that the service writer is..............well, how can I say it nicely.................well..........I can't so maybe I should quit right here. Do you think the horn can be programmed??? I do know that I have all the computer updates.......................

I will try to check into it exactly for you and let you know.
I know on alot of the cars they are preprogrammed for a lot of things. And they are just turned off.
Some are even setup for motion sensors. You would have to add the sensors them selves but the system is setup for it.

Tech, what are motion sensors..............something for the alarm system?? Incidently I installed the reverse radar that installs in the rear bumper.............works very well. I got tired of painting the rear bumper....................you cannot see past the rear window when inside a C-70................of course now for that horrible blind spot in the C pillar.......................

I know the feeling about the C-Pillar.
Motion sensors are mounted inside the car so that if they somehow break the window and get in as soon as they were in there the alarm would go off.
Almost like the motion sensor lights people have outside their houses.
