Looking to buy an S60, need some help from the experts
Hello everyone,
I dont know much about volvos but i recently sold my old car and I drove an S60 (2006 AWD) and fell in love with it. I'm looking for an S60 from 05 or 06 but I havea few questions.
I've been researching for the past day and abit and I wanted to know from the experts here what kind of weak points does the S60 have, Reliability wise.
How do the trannys hold up over time? the s60's im looking at are in the 50,000km range. What should i look out for when purchasing one? Do the turbo's on the S60's blow or have any issues?
None of the reviews I have read cover the "what you should look out for" topics.
I also started reading about the S80 but from I read they have a lot of issues?
Some information would be great
Thanks guys!

There have been some concerns about the AWD models, maybe by 06 they have been solved, but none the less, an AWD car could have some costly repairs. Volvo turbos are not known to blow unless you seriously abuse it, otherwise, don't worry about the turbo going anywhere. Some people complain about the leg room in the rear and the road noise. Personally, road noise has never bothered me, and I like being able to hear the road and the engine, it's part of the car. As long as you properly maintain it, it will last for a very long time, my 850 currently has 214,xxx miles on it, and it drives just as good as it did when it had 100,000 miles on it, probably even better.
