Default minor hiccup yesterday

I have the 2001 S60 non-turbo. It has 103K miles, mostly highway. Its never been driven hard. I have tried to stick with the maintenance schedule recommended by Volvo. So right now I am nearing the timing belt change and transmission flush interval (both original to the car).

Like I mentioned, the car isn't driven hard. I have a short commute to work now (5 miles @ 35-45mph) and it stays below 2500 rpm. There is only one small hill and everything else is flat. It gets regular 87 octane, and I've been getting 31mpg city for the past 3 months so mechanically all seems well.

NGK iridium plugs @97K
K&N filter washed @100K
Mobil clean 5000 oil @ 101K
Bosch fuel filter @ 101K

Thats the history, now here's the problem. Last night while driving home from work, it lost power momentarily (blink and you'd miss it) and then regained power and was fine. More detail: headlights died, instrument cluster and dash lights went out, engine and trans went. Before I had time to panic, it was back again. I don't know what to make of it. I scanned for codes and not a single code was stored. Does anyone have a theory about what happened? Sorry for the lack of detail in the problem, but it just didn't last.

I would start with checking the + connection under the hood by the fuse panel.

Thanks tech. I was hoping someone would confirm it was something simple like that. I checked that out and didn't notice a loose connection, checked the grounds. I'll keep an eye on things. Since this is the only time its happened and it didn't set any codes, I'll let it be for now.

I'll update the thread if I find anything.
