just had mintex pads and new rotors put in the front...they didnt use any anti-squeal paste....drove fine for a few days but the pads are beginning to squeal when coming to a gradual stop....are there any solutions short of replacing pads again? I was told mintex makes good pads??

How much did you pay for the job?

 

It is common. The hardest the material the pads are made from, the biggest their life-time, the noisest squeal you get. Give them some time to warn out a little more, then you see. In the meantime enjoy the fine and ultimum braking..!!

 

i paid CDN $250 for new OEM rotors, mintex pads and installation. Considerably less than the $560 quoted by the dealer. I had a friend (mechanic) buy the parts at cost for me.

 

yeah they just need broke in.
