Missing anti-rattle clip on one of the rear wheels
Greetings Everyone.
I was cleaning the wheels on my 2001 S60 today and found out a metal string dangling inside one of the rear wheels. After googling, I think it's called anti-rattle clip or string.
I was trying to get it back in place, so I tried to compare it with the other rear wheel. To my surprise, it was not there on the other wheel at all.
About 6 months ago, I did replace the brake rotors/pads with brand new ones at the Midas.
So my questions are:
1) how important is this anti-rattle clip/string thing? does it affect braking/safety of the car?
2) do you guys think Midas had anything to do with them being issing/loose if replacing brake roter/pads wasn't done right?
3) i am thinking about buying them from the dealers parts department and fix it myself. is it really as easy as using a pryer and some brute force to put them in place?
thanks a lot!
