I know audis have a ton of expensive problems (ie timing belt , control arms, ect) i know that buying another performance car such as an s60r will have its costs but im a good driver and i baby all of my cars so will i have reliability at least for a while . I will not buy one that has more than 100k. Any advice will be helpful thanks

Before you buy make sure the AWD actually works.
The angle gear is a trouble spot on these cars. if the AWD works check the angle gear to see if it's leaking any fluid, if it is get it resealed ASAP.
Make sure you remove the exhaust bracket if it's still on the car. They hang too low and numerous guys have had the exhaust bracket hit speed bumps, driveway, ect.. and it will shove the exhaust into the drive shaft.
The 4C shocks and struts are about $600 each.
Other then that, it's not any more expensive then a normal S60.
If your use to dealing with Audi's then you'll be fine taking care of the S60R.
A couple things to know,
The '04 & '05 auto's are a 5 speed with torque limiting in 1st and 2nd gears to 270tq.
The '06 & '07 auto's are a 6 speed with very minimal limiting in 1st and 2nd.
You'll get wheel rub on the inside of the front tires at full lock. 5mm spacers usually take care of that.
SS is another great site for doing S60R research.
