A 2002 s60 non turbo throttle is programmed to the VIN number of your car. A used one MAY or MAY NOT work - and is probably just as bad as the one you have, unless it's been modified with non-contact potentiometers (that's one thing xemodex does).
The potentiometers are sold by themselves if you want to try your luck at rebuilding electronics. (if that's the only problem)
And a company such as xenodex is your best bet if you want a true plug and play solution.
You are lucky - in the mid 2000's before xemodex was around the only choice was a new one and by the time is was programmed to work on the car could cost $1500!
