Greetings from Ontario,


I am the proud new owner of a 2004 Volvo S60 2.5t AWD. It has 195000 km on it, and has been babied for years by the original owner. It is in absolutely perfect shape. Not a bit of rust, even on underside. I love the way it drives, and the leather smells great. Apparently, I am due for a timing belt, water pump, idlers, and tensioner. I have not been able to find a video on the 2.5t timing belt. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am a fairly good DIY'er but I do need some firm guidance. I also can't get a Hanes manual on the car. Can anyone recommend a good service manual? Anyway, thanks in advance, and I am looking forward to a long relationship. Thanks.

 

There is a good video on it from FCP Euro on youtube on how to do the timing belt and serpentine belt. Because the engine is transposed it does not look like the easiest job in the world. I would start there.

 

I can send you a link to a PDF document with how to do the timing belt if you're interested. I won't publish it publicly on the forums though.

2.5t when doing the Belts is no different than other models. This includes the V70, S80. They are all on the same chassis they are all essentially the same.
