Default OBD Readers

Hi Guys,

Could anyone tell me whether there is a certain type of handheld OBD reader for my car, S60 2.0t? The only reason I ask is that I've noticed that some say that they are compatable with 'CAN', 'EOBD' and so on. Would appreciate any feed back as to what reader is compatable.
Many thanks
Finchy

An OBDII reader is what you need. IPD USA sells them.

I highly recommend the Scan Gauge. It has quickly become my favorite gadget.

Hi Finchy,

I personally like Actron's products, but the one at IPD, which Moderator S70Driver has posted, seems a better choice as it is model-specific.

The only problem with many of the OBD-II scanners is that they only retrieve codes from engine & tranny ECU's, and not from climate control, ABS and other electronic control systems.

Good day!
