Oil Level Design Flaw on V60 - Ring Wear Issue.
My car has about 74,100 miles. I bought it used so I do not know when it was manufactured or delivered to its first owner.
Unfortunately, I moved and I am no longer close to the dealership I bought it from, which I had good experience with.
There is only one dealership here, it hasn't been easy working with them. The prices are much higher and sometimes parts have "special/expedited" shipping charges. I love my car but this makes me regret buying a second Volvo.

I feel your pain. The difference between our Honda maintenance experience and the Volvo has a marked difference. Volvo has just gotten out of hand and now falls into what I consider high maintenance vehicles.

Hello everyone!
I received good news, Volovo USA is going to help with the cost of the oil consumption test, yay!
Now the dealership is saying that the test would take just a couple of hours.. Does that sound right to you? A few weeks ago they told me they would have to keep the car for several days and now they are telling me I can drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon of the same day!
I read that they have to run the car for about 1000 miles to check the consumption, That sounds like a lot of wear and tear to my car. What has been your guy's experience on this?
Thank you all for your comments

My v60 2015 started to have problem since in 7000miles, went through dealer, they didn't do anything, so I put oil in every 2 week and bacame so sick of it especially winter time. So I called the Volvo factory. They opened a case. Started a diagnose process without charge. Will see, I hope they do the right thing, I've done online research, many have similar problem, suprise they are not recalling this design defect. Will update progress
