Default optimal wheel size?

anyone know the best wheels size/fitment for an '02 s60. i know 18x8" will fit, but harsh ride? 17x7.5 be better? or would there even be much of difference in ride quality? 18x8"s would probably rub the inside fenders to hell...

i'm not sure what size your factory wheels are but my '04 2.5t has 17's. the tire size is 235/45R17. if you upsize, you will have to get a smaller sidewall tire such as 235/40R18 or 235/35R18. the middle number refers to the height of the sidewall or how much cushion you have between the road and your wheel. the higher that number, the better cushion you will have- also less chance of bending the wheel in a pothole. so to answer your question, 18's will be a less quality ride and unless you get a narrower tire (which will decrease handling) it will probably rub like crazy.
