Oxidized headlights on 2013 s60

My old 2000 S40 had glass headlights. My current 2013 S60 has plastic headlights that have a nasty oxidation going on. YouTube ideas aren't working for me. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

You can try polishing them and see how they turn out. Eventually polishing won't hold up very long or do much at all and that is when it calls for new headlight assemblies. I have seen people use automotive clear coat on their lenses after polishing nicely to protect them as well. Never tried it myself though.

Volvo used glass headlights when the cars had headlight wipers installed. I think they stopped that around 04 and switched to high pressure washers.

Best kit I've found is made by Sylvania.

After reading this thread I decided to buy the Sylvania kit for my 2008 S60. 1 kit was enough to do both headlights and fog lights. It didn’t make them look like brand new, but it made a big difference. In this pic the drivers lights were complete and passengers hadn’t been touched.

Thanks for the input. I tried the toothpaste/baking soda and the WD40 tips on YouTube and it was useless. Ended up buying the 3M kit that recommended a 1200-1400 RPM rated drill. My crummy Craftsman battery operated

drill was rated 600 so I used a corded Decker drill motor and watched the 3M YouTube video a couple of times. I wish I had taken before/after pics....they turned out really good.
