A pleasant surprise
I just picked up my 2015 V60 from the dealer following a 50,000 mile service. I had taken it to the dealer for this service, knowing full well that it would be more expensive than the independent shop I have used for my other Volvos for a reason: This was the first service since I bought the car last February. It is a "Certified" car and still under the general warranty and I knew the dealership service dept. would search out any issues that required further work. The only issue that I brought up was the auto stop/start not functioning. (I had not sought help on this earlier since I would not/do not use it) Not surprisingly, the issue was a sub-par battery ( 176 CCA vs 800CCA spec). The surprise came when the battery was replaced under warranty! I had expected to be told that the battery was considered a "wear & tear" maintenance item like tires or wiper blades. The visit to the dealer was worthwhile.
