I have never owned a car with turbo and was told recently that premium gas should be used all the time for the S60 R. Is this true? With the price of gas these days I might have to reconsider the S60 R being my next car purchase. Any light you guys can shed on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Yes it should be used, it doesn't have to be.

Your car will run better on Premium gas. But will run fine on Regular.

 

Agree with S70. If you use regular the computer will remap to the octane of the regular. It will run fine but performance may decrease slightly.

 

If you simply can't afford it, it's understandable,but I'll still stick with high grade for the R.
Just my 2cents.

Like jks2 said, the performance will suffer somewhat with low grade though.
