Default Purchase Decision Help

I decided I'm going to replace my 98V70 with a S60 2.5 turbo fairly soon and two are for sale in my area that fit my price range, both are around 11K asking price.

Wanted to get your thoughts on what you think would be more important to you

#1 is a 2008 with 110K miles. Sold by a Volvo independent shop that just replaced the timing belt on it (with records to proof). One owner car, and the carfax shows oil changes every 3K miles.

#2 is a 2006 with 67K miles. Slighlty cheaper than #1. No records on maintenance on the carfax, but clean title, no accidents, 3 owners. Sold by a regular used car dealer, not a Volvo specific indy. I figured with those low miles, it is barely out of warranty and the original owners probably had the "free maintance" from dealer (not sure if Volvo offered it back then?).

Neither of them had any suspension stuff done. Both have new tires and brakes and I was planning on test driving to see if there are issues with the struts possibly even have an pre-purchase inspection done.

I am leaning towards #2 because of the lower miles, but then #1 has the big benefit of knowing for sure it was well maintained at least in terms of oil changes.

Your thoughts? Should I not worry about the extra 40K on #1?

Thanks a bunch.

Miles do not concern me with a car that can go 300k+. With over 100k that car has likely been on the highway a lot. I don't think Volvo Mill did free maintenance before but even if they did there would be records of it.

Get the car you know was serviced and cared for as long as it doesn't have any collession damage problems. That car that is now preying for it's 4th victim may not last you 2 years.

Just be sure to stop by www.NADAGuides.com to confirm the value of #1 before you pull the trigger.
