purchased 17"x7.5" rims for my 2001 s60 but
- I recently purchased 17"x7.5" rims (volvo calls this style "Thor") on a killer bargain for my 2001 s60 but, supposedly this particular rim doesnt work for a 2001 s60, only 2002 & up, even though there are other rim style that are 17x7.5 which does work on my model year s60. Why is this? Is there an affordable kit/modification I can install to make these rims work? I have tried these rims, on the front(which have really cool low profile pirelli tires mounted) on my car for a short test drive around the block & seemed fine...

Just test fit them!!! Really, they should work.
And I'm Just curious, but how can a wheel be a specific FWD wheel??? At some point through tire rotations all the wheels will be hooked up to the drive axles and will have that added stress on them. I don't see what difference it would make.
