Hi all -

I'm considering getting my first Volvo - currently thinking about the T5. I drove one at the dealer today and really liked it.

One question to you folks about the seats - I would prefer not to get leather seats (I know - weird). The dealer didn't have any cars that didn't have the premium package in stock, but he said that he could order one. Can anyone tell me what the standard seats (not the ones that come with the premium package) look like. The Volvo website says that they are graphite leather/cloth sport seats.

Can anyone describe them to me (or better yet, post a picture)?

Paul - You can see the seat options on www.volvocars.us, when you 'build' a car online. I drove an 06 S40 demo car with them, and they were pretty nice. That said, you probably can't get power / memory seats if you don't get leather. although you may be able to get them heated :-)

I have an '01 with heated/memory/cloth seats. It also has the cold weather package with no sun roof. Weird. It is the only one I have ever seen like it.

MK1 - yes, no leather seats seems to mean no-sunroof. Volvo packages them both in the premium package. I asked the dealer to see if they could do the cloth seats with a sunroof - still haven't heard back as to whether they can do that combo.
