Question With Pic
This part (the meshy part) rattles. Its really loud when my car is idling and when Im driving in lower rpms. What does this part do and can I install a new one to rid my car of the awful rattle.

It's likely the heat shield and not the mesh shroud on the downpipe making the noise. With the car off and cooled, give a little tug to all the heat shielding. You'll likely find a loose one.
