Radiator removal from above? '07 2.5T
It looks like the only way to remove and replace the radiator on a 2007 S60 2.5T is to do it from below. Has anyone been able to do this from above? will the mounting bushing "ears" be in the way?
I pulled mine out the top. I only removed the intake pipes and the radiator fan and was able to pull it up and out. I used a jackstand to support the intercooler from underneath while I transferred the new one in.
I'm changing mine from the top right now. This the third time I broke a radiator in my car, i don't think there's enough clearance in my car, I just very lightly hit a parking bumper. The first time I dropped it out the bottom, that is I think much harder to do it all from the bottom if you don't have a hoist. The radiator and intercooler were locked together and were hard to get out separately. I don't think It's hard to change with some work on top and some on bottom. I removed the plate over the radiator and front headlights I thought this made it easier to get out. More room and you can just lift it straight up. I removed the front bumper cover. I thought it made it easier to reach in there but I don't think you have to do that and you could just remove some of the headlight bolts and loosen them up to get the top plate off. The hardest part for me was removing the transmission lines. I could not get them to come out no matter what I did. I finally just broke the green clips holding them in. Make sure you buy these clips before you go to put it together, these are volvo part number 9485149 I bought cheap ones on ebay. I couldn't find them around town, the dealer wanted 12.00 for each clip. Good luck

Make sure you plug those transmission lines so you dont lose any extra fluid and top off your transmission fluid for what was lost in the old radiator. The green clips are quick connects, dont force them.
