Dear Tech,

My S60 2001 (90KM)is currently showing "Reduced Gear Selector Function" message. I also notice that the lights on the gear shifter is not lite up. I drove it as normal a did not find any abnormalities. The message went away the next day and the light on the gear shifter is lite up. However after acouple of days later the message reapeared again.Any Idea what is causing this message?

It could be alot of things the codes for the transmisson need to be pulled to know where to look.

 

Dear Tech,

Can the codes be retrieved even if the message doesnt show up again?

 

They should have stored on the computer.
